Date 2009 | Written by: Charles Band and writer-producer William Butler

Full Moon Picture's Charles Band and writer-producer William Butler (Madhouse, Furnace) have announced that a third sequel about the murderous yet chewy and delicious cookie-killer - The Gingerdead Man will return again in "Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver".

This time around, the homicidal cookie-killer will travel back in time and create more yummy bloody mayhem as he murders the contestants of a 1970's roller-boogie contest. "The response to GM2 was so sweet - there was actually a month waiting list to rent the film on Netflix when it was first released and it was the first Full Moon picture to totally sell out at We felt it was only right to give the world a third helping of the this truly mind expanding, cinematic wonder of a franchise," jokes Butler. "I can assure you that the bad taste that was exercised in part two, will only be surpassed in the third chapter, in other words, there will be something disturbing for the entire family - so save room for dessert".

William Butler, who wrote and produced GM2, originally got his start as an actor, starring in many horror franchises, including Friday the 13th VII, Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 and Night of the Living Dead 1990. He is also currently prepping his next directing venture, "The Orchard" a story about a group of people who find themselves drawn to a mysterious farmhouse in the middle of an orchard, only to find that their worst secrets are manifesting themselves there. I'm very excited to get back to my roots and to be doing something horror-oriented, particularly in the old school horror style that I myself am such a fan of."

Butler recently completed photography on the comedy mockumentary film project "The Rise and Fall and Rise and Fall of Tuck Johnson: Professional Porn Star" starring Ed Begley Jr. (Pineapple Express) Charles Napier (Dinocroc, One Eyed Monster) Wendi McClendon Covey (Reno 911) and Kate Flannery (The Office).
